Good news!  We are pleased to receive the Prince's Trust Institute Mark (PTI) for Art 2016.  Launched in 2007, this award recognises and rewards school departments that develop inspirational ideas and activities which enhance the teaching of either Art, English, Geography, History, Latin, Maths, Modern Foreign Languages, Music and Science regardless of their pupils' backgrounds or abilities.

Our Art department received the 'Mark' due to their outstanding work, inpsired by membership of the programme. Increasing the challenge within their subject curriculum, developing the staff's own specialist knowledge and improving subject-based links outside of school has been the focus and we are extremely proud of all the hard work displayed.

One example of the department's commitment to the above is the whole school year trip for Year 9 students to the National Gallery in Central London over 10th, 11th and 14th November. Over 250 students being inspired by the collection of more than 2300 paintings!
