SIXTH FORM FOOTBALL

A short trip over the M23 for the Sixth form footballers for a friendly game vs Oriel who seemed to have the whole year group playing. Played in near artic conditions the game went back and forth with chances at both ends  before Tidy and Wallace gave Imber a 2-0 half time lead. After a flurry of substitutions Oriel got back into it with 2 early second half goals,  but in true Imber style back the boys came with 5  unanswered goals from Kennedy, Hickman, stroud and 2 more (hattrick hero) Wallace saw Imberhorne win 7-2. Top effort lads and again massive thanks to the parents who kindly drove.

POM  Finn Mc for running the line.

U12 Girls County Cup

Angmering School vs ImberhorneSchool
Friday 14th November

Our U12 girls travelled to Angmering School for the second round of the County Cup and produced a performance full of determination, teamwork and resilience.

From the first whistle, the girls worked hard and put together some excellent passages of play. Despite coming up against a very strong and well-organised Angmering side, our team battled bravely throughout the first half, going into the break 5–0 down but showing great spirit.

In the second half, the girls refused to let their heads drop. Their passing football continued to shine through, and they were rewarded with two well-deserved goals—one each from Zara and Taliah. Although the match finished 9–2 in Angmering’s favour, the team should be extremely proud of their attitude and effort from start to finish.

A special congratulations goes to Edie, who was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance, and she stepped in last minute to play in goal.

Well done to all the girls for representing the school so positively

U14 Girls Football

Imberhorne School vs Oathall

The U14 girls put in a fantastic performance against Oathall in what proved to be a very evenly matched and competitive fixture from start to finish.

Both sides showed great skill and determination throughout the game. Our team began brightly, pressing high and causing problems for the Oathall defence. This pressure paid off when Gemma closed down the goalkeeper and capitalised on a mistake, finishing calmly to give us a well-deserved lead.

Oathall responded just before half-time, scoring with a minute remaining to make it 1–1 at the break.

Barely a minute into the second half, Gemma broke through on goal again and unleashed a powerful strike, only to be denied by the crossbar. Despite this setback, the girls continued to work tirelessly, battling for every ball and creating opportunities right up to the final whistle.

There were strong performances across the pitch, with Primrose and Daisy both impressing with their work rate and composure.

Player of the Match goes to Emily for her outstanding contribution and consistent effort throughout the game.

A brilliant effort from the whole team—well done, girls!

DANCE GCSE

Our Year 10 and 11 GCSE dancers took part in a fantastic dance workshop with Lara from the Hip Hop dance company Boy Blue Entertainment. During the workshop, students learnt the fundamentals of Hip Hop dance including a range of grooves and the signature movements from the company. They also learnt some choreography from the professional dance work ‘Emancipation of Expressionism’ which is one of the dance works studied for the GCSE theory paper. The students were super lucky to have Lara lead the workshop as she performed in the dance herself and gave lots of helpful hints and tips for understanding the work.
