We are very pleased to offer all three levels of the DofE Award Scheme at Imberhorne School and run successful programmes for Bronze, Silver and Gold every academic year. The Duke of Edinburgh award is incredibly popular amongst our students and therefore students are aked to complete their enrolment forms and write a brief piece about why they think they are suitable. The Award scheme also contributes to a students Record of Achievement at Imberhorne and appears on the Year 11 Graduation checklist if a student is aiming for the highest level of 'Distinction'
Bronze Award: Open to year 10 students from September
Requirements for this level – Volunteering 3 Months, Skill 3 Months and Physical 3 Months. Expedition 2days and 1 night. Expeditions are held on Ashdown Forest (Practice) and The South Downs (Assessed)
Silver Award: Open to year 10 students who have completed their Bronze expedition from July. Expeditions take place in Year 11 (September and March).
Requirements for this level – Volunteering 6 Months, Skill and Physical one for 6 months the other for 3, the choice is yours. Expedition 3days and 2 nights. Expeditions are held on Ashdown Forest (Practice) and The New Forest (Assessed)
Gold Award: Open to year 12 students who have completed their Bronze and Silver expeditions from September.
Requirements for this level – Volunteering 12 Months, Skill and Physical one for 12 months the other for 6, the choice is yours. Expedition 4 days and 3 nights. Expeditions are held on Dartmoor.
