The Eco Club celebrated the end of term with a Tree Dressing ceremony to give thanks to all the trees in the school playground, and a couple of party games, including Make the Best Animal Out of Silver Foil! The Tree Dressing ceremony where you tie ribbon around a particular tree is an ancient Celtic tradition, which is also celebrated in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. It usually takes place at the beginning of December and all the traditions hang items from the tree as a way of honouring its place in the natural world and giving thanks for the shade and oxygen it provides. Imberhorne Eco Clubbers also created some of the best animals out of silver foil – can you guess the animal? They ended their party with a Mummy-wrapping game (sustainable bamboo loo paper naturally)
